Active by Nature provides Nordic walking instruction and guided tours in Canmore. Usually, guests are visitors from out of town. But this Christmas, Alberta is under strict gathering restrictions and non-essential travel is strongly discouraged. Out-of-town visitors have cancelled all bookings for this month and been refunded.
As a result, Active by Nature will offer a select number of activities for locals (residents of the Bow Valley), for free. Consider bringing a non-perhishable item for the Food Bank, if appropriate. The maximum number of participants will be four and 2 metres of physical distancing will be maintained at all times. Nordic walking poles (sanitized after each use) are provided. Several pairs of ice cleats are also available for use (also santizied between uses). This is an ideal way to get in some joyful, social, immune-boosting exercise while meeting Alberta Health's COVID-19 restrictions. Nordic walking is a valuable skill to learn and the sessions are perfect for residents living alone in the Bow Valley who are most in need of opportunities to socialize safely.
